Colleen Bark ~ Hello! My
name is Colleen Bark. I live in a home we built on Nolander Road in
Barksdale. I am the Preschool teacher at St. Louis. I have been in
the Early Education Field since graduating in the program at U.W.
Stout in 1972. I’ve enjoyed being employed in Public School, Day
Cares and my own private preschool in Ohio, Head Start and
substituted grades EC-5. I find I most enjoyed working with 3-5
year olds here at St. Louis. I have been with the program since
it’s beginning in 1990. I have been happily married to Mike for 35
years, who works as a business instructor at WITC and we have two
grown children. We also have a calico cat named Callie. I enjoy
spending time with my family and friends, working on home and yard
projects, biking, kayaking, walking, reading, gardening, bowling,
cross-country skiing, and treasure hunting when not teaching. I
love working at St. Louis School and look forward to meeting any new
children and families interested in our program. Stop by any time!

Colleen Greene
~ Hi, I am in my 24th
year here teaching grades 3 and 4. I am married and have two
children. I grew up in Washburn and attended St. Louis from first
through eight grades. I attended the “Old St. Louis” which was a
two story frame building located where the gym is until 4th
grade and moved into the classroom where I presently teach…so I
really consider myself part of the woodwork! I graduated from
Washburn High and the University of Wisconsin at River Falls. I
love teaching and reading is one of my favorite subjects. I have
always tried to pass on my love of reading to my students. I am
excited about this year as I recently received a grant from the
Washburn Education Association to expand my Accelerated Reader
Program. I love gardening and enjoy exercise…I try to get to Curves
during my lunch hour. I also love traveling and this past year went
to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and most recently spent 10 days in
Ireland.

Mrs. Paula
~ Hello,
I've been the kindergarten teacher at St. Louis School for the past
11 years. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Early
Childhood Education from UW-Stevens Point. She enjoys reading,
sewing, gardening and garage sailing. Currently, her family is
hosting an exchange student from Germany.
“I teach at St.
Louis School because of the great environment being provided for the
students, families and staff. The young children in my classroom
are encouraged to be successful by engaging in hands-on learning
activities. Using a balanced approach between teacher directed and
student initiated activities learning is made relevant.”

~Terry Ledin ~
I was born and raised in Washburn, one of nine children of Jim Sr.
and Shirley Ledin. I lived for 20 years in Ashland and moved back
to Washburn 4 years ago. I have worked for Family Forum Head
Start for 17 years, as a special needs assistant or a teacher
assistant. I have worked for the Washburn Cultural Center for three
years doing maintenance/janitorial work. I have worked for the St.
Louis School and the St. Louis Church for one year doing janitorial
and maintenance work. I am married to Jacki-Rae Ledin, who
teaches Head Start and between us we have four adult children, Casie,
Joray, and Stephen Ledin and Rene Sheridan. Jacki and I have
recently opened a Bed and Breakfast in our home.
My favorite
pastime is collecting toy trucks, of which I have around 600. I
also like to work on flower and vegetable gardens, hike,
cross-country ski and snowshoe. I really enjoy talking,
playing with, and helping people of all ages and have friends aged
one to ninety five!

Deb Cline ~ I graduated from
Northland College in 1982 and spent a few years substitute teaching
in local schools and then was hired by Fr. Slowey in 1986. I
married Ron in 1982 and we will celebrated our 25th wedding
anniversary this past May. We have 2 wonderful children, Patrick,
and Timothy. My family is very important to me.
I
enjoy scrapbooking, photography, and craft projects. I enjoy
supporting the local arts by attending plays and musical events.
I am a member of the Christian band, “3rd Sunday at Six”.
I
have been teaching at St. Louis for 21 years, and I enjoy coming to
work every day. The students are incredible and the parents are
very supportive. I feel that my classroom has a welcoming
atmosphere and I teach the whole child…intellectually, emotionally
and spiritually. My goal is to encourage your child to see God in
everyone and everything, become more independent people who are
polite and respectful, and to instill in them the love of learning.
